i have done research on this front. the information
that the surfer enters into the site depends on the
confidence that the site has gained over the viewer.
if the site needs to get the right information from the
surfer it has to create an environment that is comfortable
for the surfer and helps him in a way that he is ready
to key in the right details. For example, if i visit
a site on technology and the site gives much
information on the latest happenings in the technology
news..i would be gald to subscribe to it and give in
the right information. but on a site where they promise
to give free product reviews or something, since i am
attached to a particular site, i would care less for
it. So create an environment for the surfer to reveal
his/her info. and i guess the secret lies in being
empathetic.
thanx..
