Research on Mailing/ Discussion List Successes

I need some help from you.

I am doing a research on the impact of Mailing/
Discussion Lists on businesses. Specifically, I am
looking for stories from the field which illustrate
specific successes as a result of posting on mailing/
discussion groups.

Name of the list, address,
Type of query/ problem/issue highlighted
How the list members helped you solve the problem
(any facts/ details/ stats pertaining to this would
be welcome)
Any indirect benefits (strategic tie-ups/ increased
traffic, etc)

The findings of this research will be sent to each of
you who has taken the trouble to reply. They will also
be posted on this list for the benefit of the others
and archived on our site for anyone to read. That's a
promise.
