Can't speak for other advertisers but I have yet to see
performance from button ads, which could be why there's
no support for them. All of our button ads are make
goods or bonuses that are thrown at us by the sites we
advertise with. While I use a third party to serve
and track all our banner ads, we let the sites serve
all button ads becuase, frankly, their performance is
not worth the time and effort to track them.
