Almost certainly.

Most, if not all advertisers have their designs
produced in accordance with the IAB guidelines, and
which are widely recognised as the industry standards.

In theory you can display whatever size ads you desire,
but the fact is that it is the advertisers who pay to
advertise on your site, and their ads will almost
certainly conform to IAB standards, and they will say
"why should we change our design for you?"
