The holidays provide an opportunity for a lot of people
to discover your site through your online marketing
efforts that would otherwise be working. The real
question is: What have you done is the way of
traditional marketing efforts? Obviously, you want
people you are looking for your type of site to find
it. Unfortunately, it's far more difficult to attract
those who aren't necessary looking, but would still be
interested. For example, if you owned a sports-related
site, you could put your site's card on the bulletin
board by the pay phones at several sports bars. Or
take out an ad in the local paper in the sports
section. Traditional advertising media should not be
overlooked when building site awareness.
