Hello -
We have been using CentralAd Pro from version 3.0J
through the current 4.x version. Prior to purchasing
CentralAd, I spent some time evaluating several ad
serving packages ranging from freeware to under $1000
packages. In my opinion CentralAd offered one of the
best price to performance ratios. Sure... you can spend
$20,000 on a top of the line package that does
cartwheels, but how many of us can afford that? On
other good thing about CentralAd is that it is written
in C (or C++) which gives it much better performance
than many Perl based packages.
In terms of performance, we use it on a Pentium II
based Linux server to serve close to 100,000 banner
impressions a DAY without a problem. In fact CentralAd
sits on a server which also hosts several very high
traffic sites and performs pretty well.
I hope this helps. BTW I have no affiliation with the
makers of CentralAd... other than being a customer.
Happy Holidays.
