Banner Burnout Studies???

Hey All,

I am currently in a heated discussion with a local
paper. They are attempting to sell banner ads based on
1.5 million page views per month, but have no numbers
to back it up. I have been very interested in the last
few threads about percentage of "Unique Viewers" and I
have even forwarded a few comments. Thanks.

I would also like to know more about Banner Burnout.
Does anyone out there have any studies that I can
obtain?

This paper wants to sell small banners on all pages for
$650.00/mo. They are using the traditional "Top of Mind
Awareness" to encourage local companies to buy their
online advertising. I am arguing that TOMA is fine, but
TOMA alone cannot justify the $$/views that they are
asking. In addition, they are not able to provide the
exact numbers that I have grown accustomed to from the
Net.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Jim
