This is about Kenneth Leebow 's response to my post.
What I wrote was

Then I went on, *in the very same post* to urge people not to try to get
people to inadvertently "drop" their names. I raised an ethical point

suggested that people who want to avail themselves of the WebSnoop
technology *also* make plain on the Web page that they are collecting a
mailing list. I even warned people about getting spammed if they don't
make clear that they intend some use for the names.
Ken, I very much resent being quoted out of context and then blasted for
bad manners. Anyone reading just your blasting of me and not my entire
original quote will assume that I as a Web marketer am trying to get
people
to sneakily obtain e-mail addresses. In fact, you and I are in perfect
agreement on this matter.
Please, if you want to score a conversational point, do so in a way that
is
not at my expense.
