Hello everybody
this is Synergetics Media Network, Germany, and we are contacting you
with a
request for help, tips and advises and -maybe- an interesting business
opportunity.
We have recently signed a contract for the multimedia-promotion of the
Gerry
Weber Open 96. This will include multimedia-terminals on the faciliies
and
web-pages.
The Gerry Weber Open 96 is a very reputable Tennis-Championship (Grass
Court)
which takes place in Halle, Germany, in June (15th to 23rd). Last year
they had
112.000 visitors on the court and it will be shown on one of the most
popular
tv-channels in germany, the zdf.
This year Thomas Muster, Yefgeni Kafelnikow, Jim Courier, Marc Rosset and
Stefan
Edberg will definetely attend. Boris Becker and Michael Stich are still
negotiating.
Our applications on the terminals and the web will inform about the
championship, the players, the facilties and -of course- the games: We
will
release online and just in time information about the current games
during the
whole event.
The web-pages will also include a www-resource-list of worldwide
tennis-webpages. We are willing to set links for everybody who is willing
to
implement a link during middle of may, june and july for us. Banners und
Buttons
will be charged at a per-thousand hit-ratio.
We also plan to make a game on the web and we are looking for sponsors
that are
interested to invest in this.
Here is what we would like to know:
- what would you suggest on marketing this event on the internet?
- would you beside the usual contents (games, player, facilities) suggest
any
other contents that we should take care of?
- can you recommend games on the net that we could apply to our tennis-
sides
- what would you suggest as reasonable per-thousand-hit-ratio?
And here is what we have to offer:
- we are looking for marketing agencies and consultants who are
interested to
market this event on the net for their own country.
- also: if you have interesting business ideas that are connectable to
this you
are invited to join us.

Subject: Needing Statistics
I am a freelance writer/journlaism grad sytudent looking for accuarte
statistics about hit-trafficing/counting ("hits") on the Web, i.e, which
site are the big hits.
I's prefer to avoid stats which have already been printed (on a pulp-
based
medium) since I am rtrying to sell my story to pro. off-line ublications.
Also, I am looking for some people who can talk to me about online
marketing strategies and/or hit-counting technology. I have a long email
questionaire that I can email to anyone, but people ususally put the
minimun answers (and I need quotes and additional info that people don't
usually take the time type). So far this listserv has been extremely
helpful in assiting me with my project.
If anyone can direct me to online stats, I would be most grateful (I will
make my story vast email list of online advertising agencies, online
advertisers and numerous links available to this listserv when my story
is
finished).
