Subject: Ad Newsgroup forming
Some of you may be interested in a new newsgroup that is forming to
discuss aspects of advertising ranging from copywriting to ad placement
and
followup, and everything in between. The RFD (Request For Discussion) and
proposed charter are currently in the newsgroup news.announce.newgroups.
Discussion is to be held in news.groups.
This will be a moderated group called misc.business.advertising. It
will
be strictly for discussion, and advertising itself will not be permitted.
It should be a great resource for all of us who want to become more
effective in our business promotion. The list of professionals already
lined up and waiting for formation of the group is quite impressive.
If you would like to see such a group formed, contact Dave Pascal,
DavPascal_at_aol.com, and let him know. He is the person shepherding the
group
through the process.

I've found some useful bulk email companies which are accessible from my

Let's face it bulk email is bound to be a strong way of marketing in the
same way as direct mail is today however it will need to be correctly
targetted and properly written to avoid the theoretical flame! People who
download from web sites are generally asked for email addresses which
they do give in return for free things of value and they anticipate some
form of feedback from it at some point - after all they were interested
enough in the first place to visit and to download so providing them with
useful information may not offend them - sending garbage will however.
